Connect With Your Community

Once a month, I highlight a local business in this space — not just to share great work, but to celebrate connection.

When I was a kid, I’d tag along with my Grandpa as he made his rounds through town. He’d strike up a conversation in every shop, every office, every corner. He showed me what it means to truly know your neighbors.

That memory stuck.

Today, I carry that same spirit into Bright Bookkeeping — slowing down, showing up, and getting to know the people who make our community thrive.

Podunk Pizza

A Slice of La Center’s Heart

Tucked right into the charm of La Center, WA, Podunk Pizza is more than a place to grab a great pie—it’s a love letter to small‑town roots.

Owner Tosha grew up here, and the memories she carries from those early days inspired her to create a spot where that same sense of belonging could live on.

Named after the town’s original name, ā€œPodunkā€ Pizza celebrates the history, humor, and heart of this community. It’s a place where neighbors gather, families linger, and everyone feels welcome.

Podunk may have been the town’s old name, but this pizza place is no small deal. It’s a reminder of what makes our corner of Southwest Washington special: connection, support, and the joy of being together.

Open Mic Night — Wednesdays from 6–8 PM
Swing by Podunk Pizza on Wednesday evenings and settle in for one of La Center’s sweetest small‑town traditions.

From seasoned musicians to brave first‑timers, you never quite know who will take the stage—but it’s always a treat.

Grab a slice, enjoy the company, and be part of the community Tosha dreamed of creating.

R Street Bites

Meet Ken.

With over 35 years of culinary experience, Ken brings heart, skill, and creativity to every dish. He runs R Street Bites alongside a thriving catering business, and his vision for the future is as bold as his flavors.

The menu? Classic American comfort food—with a culinary twist that’ll surprise and delight you. We highly recommend the Joe Dog (a local favorite) and the Reuben special when it rolls around.

Ken’s offerings pair perfectly with a pint from 3Peaks—so grab a bite and settle in.

Be adventurous with your order—Ken’s spin on the familiar never disappoints.

When you stop by, be sure to say hello to Ken and his wife Jamie. They’re the kind of people who make Ridgefield feel like home.

Located on the same property as 3Peaks Public House, 24415 NE 10th Ave, Ridgefield, WA 98642
